I have always believed the best revenues will come from the best sales people. There is just no way for a publication to reach its full potential without the the benefits of a well seasoned sales person with a broad range of experience. I've been in the advertising sales business for more than a decade and a half now. Over the course of my career I have seen good publications under perform due to a lack of proper, quality sales representation. You can always count on a great advertising sales person to carefully manage a publication's current advertising accounts while aggressively pursuing new ones. A continuing source of new business is an absolute must, not to simply maintain current levels of advertising revenues but to increase them.
